Town of Old Perlican
Old Perlican is a fishing village on the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador. Incorporated in 1971, it is one of Newfoundland's oldest fishing communities, serving as the major fishing station in Trinity Bay for migratory fisherman from England in the 17th century.
The town of Old Perlican is located at the intersection of Routes 70 and 80 - and is approximately 60 km from Carbonear and 50 km from Heart's Content. With a population of 676 people, Old Perlican is a thriving service centre for the collection of smaller communities at the head of Trinity and Conception Bays.
