Battery Park is situated at the entrance to beautiful and historical St.Mary's Harbour. With Cape St.Mary's to our west,the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Mistaken Point to our South and The Wilds of Salmonier/Nature Park to our East, our town is perfectly situated in the middle- to draw from the vast number of tourists who "Drive the Irish Loop" every summer. Last year, 70,000 people "drove the loop"-35,000 stopped at The Wilds. If 10% of them stop at St.Mary's-that's 3,500 visitors to our town.
